This blog is loosely an exploration of poetry – through music, through photography, through literature and any other possibility I might cross paths with. Poetry waits between the words and me and so sometimes, that means poetry is the world.
I was born in Singapore to a Malaysian mom and a Singaporean dad who met in Melbourne. Our family of five has called the cities of Singapore, Suzhou, and Hong Kong our home.
I work as a writer, editor, poet, academic, translator, and creative community organizer.
I have always loved the things I love without holding back,
this is true in my craft, commitments, and communities.
I leave traces of them here.
I would like cultivate a habit of self-affirmation
that does not rely on comparison.
In other forms, coming to own her beauty.
In other words, learning. listening.
