Music: All About that Bass (cover), The Sam Willows

This song is mah new jam.
It explodes with fun, i love it.

When I grew old enough to realize that Singapore was home to a small and vibrant community of artists, I started extending my knowledge of it. I remember the first time I went to see 53A play at Timbre, and thought to myself, “Damnit, perhaps what I’ve been missing out on most is the arts in this country.”

I certainly love what my diversified road to adulthood has brought to my own art, but the TCK life is always simultaneously battling a constructed nostalgia and a sense of loss.

Now that I am old enough to have a certain degree of agency over my future, I am allowing myself to dream of possibilities, just a little bit. It gives me something to hope for.
