Him:

DAY 11

Her:

eeny meeny
miney mo.

– take your fingers,
walk them home
when
days and nights play each other:
thumb to pinky
pinky to thumb.

when i said
you were my future,
i didn’t mean literally
sixteen hours closer to time beginning.

tell me what happens tomorrow?

you know
always before me,
but did you know
between hands moving,
the earth slows
just for a –

eeny meeny
mine no more.
