Jasmine Gui is a Singaporean-born interdisciplinary artist, editor, and occasional translator who lives and works in Tkaronto.
She currently works as a programmer and grant writer at the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival.
She is the founder of Project 40 Collective, an interdisciplinary artist collective, and co-founder of TACLA, an Asian Canadian archival initiative. Her work is grounded in interdisciplinary grassroots communities, and explores intersectional histories, counter-archivals, translations, traversals, and grief.
She also runs Teh People Studio, does experimental paper arts as one half of the creative duo, jabs.
She did her MA in English, Diaspora and Transnational Studies at the University of Toronto, and is the author of two chapbooks, If A Carp Dreams of The Milky Way (2019) and boke (2017).
